Binance, the biggest cryptocurrency exchange by market share, is capitalizing on the trend of meme coins by offering a promotion on its platform for tokens such as Shiba Inu, Dogecoin, and Dogwifhat. The exchange has announced that it will waive interest fees for these meme coins. The cryptocurrency exchange stated in a press release that individuals borrowing DOGE, SHIB, WIF, PEPE, FLOKI, BONK, and MEME on Binance Margin will be granted a one-hour waiver of interest fees. This promotion will run from March 12 through March 26. Surprisingly, these tokens represent the seven meme coins with the highest market capitalization. Binance explained that interest typically accumulates hourly at the beginning of each hour as part of the promotion. Hence, traders will not incur any interest fees as long as they repay the loan within one hour of borrowing. Up to now, these types of crypto tokens have been a prominent focus in the current bullish market trend, and Binance is aiming to attract more users to trade meme coins on their platform. Binance recently added WIF for spot trading and MYRO, another Solana-based meme coin, for futures trading. At the same time, it also introduced a PEPE/USDC pairing in addition to the existing PEPE/USDT pairing.
