After Ethereum’s Dencun update, the Blast Mainnet ceased generating blocks. Approximately one hour after the final block was produced, Blast announced on X that the problem had been solved. The team stated that a detailed analysis of the issue would be shared soon. Blast explained in the post on X that the halt in block production on the Blast Mainnet was caused by complications stemming from Ethereum’s Dencun upgrade, and that their core engineering contributors were currently addressing the issue. We will provide an update and analysis after the fix has been implemented. The latest Dencun upgrade for Ethereum was launched on Tuesday, making it the biggest upgrade the network has seen so far. Blocks stopped being published around 10 am ET, according to Blast Scan. Developers are attracted to layer-2’s liquidity and the founder’s success in creating Blur. The “layer-2 with native yield” faced backlash for initially asking for deposits to a multisig wallet.
