Pro-XRP John Deaton Launches Senate Bid over Elizabeth Warren John Deaton, a strong supporter of XRP, announces his candidacy for Senate in opposition to Elizabeth Warren.
John Deaton, an attorney and supporter of Ripple XRP, is announcing his candidacy for the Senate seat currently held by Elizabeth Warren. Warren currently holds the Senate seat in Massachusetts. Deaton and his team recently launched the official campaign website after hinting at a possible run for the past week. The attorney also mentioned he plans to run as a Republican candidate against the incumbent senator, claiming that Warren is ineffective in serving the state of Massachusetts. In 2021, John Deaton co-founded CryptoLaw US, focusing on important legal and regulatory changes related to cryptocurrency in the United States. He has openly endorsed Ripple XRP, the digital currency created by Ripple Labs, which faced a legal dispute with the SEC in 2023. In contrast, Warren is a vocal opponent of XRP and cryptocurrency in general. The present senator from Massachusetts thinks that cryptocurrency serves as a means for criminals and wrongdoers to fund their unlawful actions. Deaton expressed his support for the approval of Bitcoin ETFs in January, while Warren criticized the SEC for it. Deaton clarified that he will not rely on cryptocurrency or his backing of it for his Senate campaign. If Deaton were to win a seat in a significant state like Massachusetts, his endorsement of the cryptocurrency economy could greatly benefit the industry.
